Please join us for Oregon Synod Assembly 2024

This 2024 Synod Assembly we will continue our journey of practicing Jesus' way of Spiritual Friendship together. We will focus on Embodied Spiritual Friendship: The practices of mutual love that make room for Life, and Life abundant.

We look forward to this time at assembly to worship, connect, care for the business of our synod, and ground ourselves and the world in God's love.

Please read below carefully.

Important details and dates:

• Assembly is being held online June 1st from 9:30 am- 4:30 pm.
• Registration is $100 per attendee
• Due to how voting is conducted, only voting members may register for/attend the meeting. Anyone wishing to be present as an observer is welcome to view the livestream via the link that will be provided.
• In addition to your usual voting members, the Oregon Synod constitution invites each congregation to elect: up to 2 adults who are persons of color or whose first language isn't English, up to 2 adults who identify as LGBTQIA+, and up to 2 youth (14 to 18) and/or young adult members (18 to 30) to come as voting members in accordance with the constitution.
• Regular registration closes 10pm May 1st. There is no registration after this time.
• Registration is not currently open for retired (unless they are serving as an interim), on disability, or on leave from call rostered leaders. This is so we can be sure we achieve the right quorum of lay/rostered persons to do business. Limited registration for these leaders will be available via a separate registration open May 3rd-10th until 10pm. The link will be made available on the website and sent in the Friday leaders email. 
• To do business online, each voting member will need to have; an internet connection, their own email address, and their own screen (smart phones often do not have access to all the tools we will need to use for voting) not shared with other voting members. Since ONLY voting members will be able to attend the meeting, we plan to livestream the event on YouTube for everyone else wishing to be an observer.
•  All nominations, resolutions, memorials, and proposed changes to the constitution are due by April 12th. Unless constitutionally required, none will be accepted after this date for 2024. Interested in submitting a memorial or resolution? Please contact Bishop Caesar in advance.
• If you need meeting support or reports and materials in a different language or for the visual or hearing impaired, please contact the synod office as early as possible and by May 1st.
• All reports and other materials will be emailed to registrants the week of May 16th.

• Want to register more than one person? Just hit Add Registrant after completing the first registration to add another person to your order.
• By registering, you agree to be added to our email list so we can stay connected about Assembly. You can change your subscriptions or unsubscribe at any time from inside the emails following the Assembly.

• Please keep your confirmation email you will need it to join the meeting!
